TERMS OF SERVICE AND DELIVERY

These terms and conditions apply to OHTO Nordic Home Oy's online store at ohtonordichome.com
By using the online store, you accept these terms and agree to be bound by them.
OHTO Nordic Home Oy (business ID 2877472-9) sells products to private individuals of full age in Finland and the EU. All product prices are inclusive of VAT. We reserve the right to make changes to the product prices and delivery costs.
The seller has the right to amend the terms and conditions by publishing the revised terms on the website of the online store. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
Placing an order in the online store requires that you provide the relevant data pertaining to you fully and correctly. Please handle any possible customer IDs carefully and make sure that they are kept safe from third parties. The seller is not responsible for failure to deliver orders or documents due to incorrect information.
We want to ensure the safety of your visit to our online store, and thus the data collected in the online store is transferred to OHTO Nordic Home Oy in a secured format.
To purchase products from our online store, you can register an account, or you can make purchases as a guest. Products are ordered in the online store by placing them into the shopping basket and paying for the contents of the basket with the payment method of your choosing. All customer information is handled confidentially. The contact information requested during the order process will not be used for other purposes outside of the delivery of your order or resolving any issues that may arise regarding your order. When placing an order in the online store, you are expected to have read and accepted our valid delivery terms at each time.
If the products you have ordered are in stock at our primary storage facility, your order will be delivered within 1–3 working days. Products are made by hand in Finland, so the approximate delivery period of some products may be 2–8 weeks.
After your order has been accepted, it can no longer be changed in the online store. However, if you want to cancel your order or change it, contact the customer service of OHTO Nordic Home Oy.
Declining an order
If the product you have ordered is no longer available, OHTO Nordic Home Oy will contact you. Where necessary, the seller is entitled to cancel the transaction.
OHTO Nordic Home Oy cannot be held responsible for delays or damage arising from events beyond its control, which it could not have reasonably foreseen or whose consequences it could not have avoided. Force majeure circumstances include, but are not limited to, industrial action, illness among staff, import and export bans, disruptions in general data connections, power cuts, and disruptions of mail delivery or road traffic. If the force majeure circumstance continues to exist for more than a month, both the seller and the customer have the right to withdraw from the transaction without any penalty related to damages or delay.
Terms for exchanging and returning products
Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to exchange or return your order in full or partially within 14 days of having received your order.
When returning a delivery, please enclose your name and contact information, as well as your bank account number for refund purposes.
Items to be returned must be handled with care. When returning an item, you must include all components of said item.
Before you return products, please contact OHTO Nordic Home Oy firstname.lastname@example.org to provide an informal cancellation/return notification.
If your order has already been delivered and you want to return one or more products, you must first collect the delivery and notify the seller of the return.

Making a cancellation/return notification
Cancellation of an order is possible only by notifying the seller of the cancellation in an unambiguous manner (email, contact form, etc.). The item must be returned no later than 14 days from issuing the cancellation notification.
Merely returning the item or declining to collect it from the post office does not suffice. Where necessary, the consumer is obligated to prove that they have issued a return notification. The consumer is also entitled to notify the seller of the cancellation before the item has been delivered.
If the consumer neglects to collect the delivery, they will be charged for the postage.
You can notify the seller of your cancellation by:
- Providing an informal notification of the cancellation via email or by enclosing one with the returned item.
- Using the contact form on the website of the company. The consumer is entitled to receive a note of the seller having received the cancellation notification without delay in an indelible format, for example via email.
Returning products is free of charge.
Seller's liability for errors
OHTO Nordic Home Oy may be exempted from their liability if it is found that the defect or failure of a product was caused by incorrect handling of the product or some other aspect for which the customer is responsible.
The customer must notify the seller of any defects in the product within a reasonable time of having noticed the defect.
Dispute resolution and the place of jurisdiction
Consumers have the right to bring any disputes arising from this agreement to be decided by the Consumer Disputes Board (https://www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/index.html). Before the matter is taken to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the Consumer Advisory Services (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/) provided by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. The customer may bring an action regarding any disputes arising from a debt obligation created by the agreement to the district court of the domicile of OHTO Nordic Home Oy or the district court in whose area of jurisdiction the customer resides.
(Agent expenses will not be reimbursed, as the Consumer Advisory Services and the Consumer Disputes Board provide free dispute resolution assistance.)
Consumers can use the ODR forum to bring disputes related to online purchases to be settled by a dispute resolution body if the seller and the purchaser cannot reach an agreement.
The Online Dispute Resolution forum of the European Commission includes all approved European dispute resolution bodies. The name of the forum is derived from the words Online Dispute resolution (ODR platform). The service is available in all official languages of the EU.
Finnish consumers who have disputes with Finnish online merchants are still recommended to first contact the Consumer Advisory Services to settle the matter.
